Meet the Real Face of Business

Matt & Jo

Technically Brilliant CIC

How did the business come about?

We have been working with different community groups for some time, but never had a base of our own . We have been organising and holding exhibitions of local artists work, meeting hundreds of artists, but we were encouraged to make Warrington our base, as there are so many creative people here.
We decided it was time to create something more fixed and allow us to achieve a place for local artists to exhibit and be supported and encouraged.

How long has your business been in existence?

We have been working on schools, museums and galleries for a number of years. We opened the gallery and workshops in Warrington in October 2019.

How many people do you employ?

Just two of us , helped by our great volunteers.

Why Warrington?

When we decided we wanted to establish a permanent base , we came to look at opportunities in Warrington and we amazed by how many artists there are here. The local public are curious, friendly and interested in art , so it seemed an ideal place for us to make our base.

What job or achievement makes you most proud?

Having the gallery in Golden square has made us very proud. Creating regular exhibitions with 128 local artists in the most recent.
Bringing art to where local people can see it .

Tell us one interesting thing about you that people might not know?

Matt likes to collect musical instruments, but he never has time to play all of them. Jo does a mean hair cut , wether you’re a dog or a son.

Who are the people most important in life to you?

Our families

Whats your ‘get through lockdown tip’?

Keeping creative and learning something new. We’ve also become expert Catan players
