Who are you?
My name is Mariusz, but everybody call me Mario. I come from Poland. I’m small business owner, artist, cake maker and IT technician. Im not afraid to put my hand into anything really. I’ve been living in Warrington for past 10 Years. I enjoy every minute of my life.
How did the business come about?
My mum was working in the warehouse since she came to UK with my dad. After they split up, she continued the heavy work to keep me and my 3 sisters up. But the labour was devastating for her back and health. But since she was baker all her life, with over 20 years of experience, we’ve decided to use this skill to get out of warehouse. We’ve found private investor (who became my wife later:P), planned everything, and opened the kitchen. After 1 year we have opened the shop floor for customers. Now its been 3 years we have been running this, and everything is on perfect way, so my mum dont have to go back to warehouse.

Why Warrington?
Moved here 10 years ago, and after visiting many towns in UK, this one is the best. Quiet, but with entertainment. Easy and chilled, but with opportunities for everyone. GREAT PEOPLE! and very close to two massive towns, Liverpool, and Manchester.
What job or achievement makes you most proud?
Apart from massive cake orders for Amazon, bespoke unique celebration cakes, we have managed to create a cake that is out of this world. It is spinach cake, and we will always be proud of it, because this particular cake is nothing like any other cake in UK. But we will always be the most proud of making people smile, and providing a reason to have a good day. End by end have you ever seen a sad person with a cake in their hand ? 🙂
