Meet the Real Face of Business
Business Lunch Limited
Who are you
I am the director of Real5 Networking in St Helens along with my business partner Mark Beech.
How did the business come about?
I am an old friend of Andrew Hibbert, the owner and founder of the Real5 Networking group. I was involved in the initial set up of the Warrington group 3 years ago and have seen the venture grow into a multi town franchise. I decided, along with Beechy, to set up the St Helens branch as I believed in the concept so much.
How long has your business been in existence?
We have been around for around 8 months now with the St Helens group, however have been involved in the Real5 family for 3 years.
How many people do you employ?
What job or achievement makes you most proud?
My career was mainly based at Morrisons Supermarkets, A store General Manager and more recently a Regional Manager for the majority of the 34 years in this company.
Tell us one interesting thing about you that people might not know?
I was the youngest ever General Manager at Morrisons when I was appointed in the Chorley store when I was just 23 years old.
Who are the people most important in life to you?
Family and Friends, both really important to me for two different reasons, your close friends are your social life, the “go to” after work or the serious stuff going on, relax and enjoy their company. Family is all about looking after each other, a real purpose in life.
What is your ‘get through lockdown tip’?
My tips for surviving the lockdown are stay visible and stay active, whether by text, phone email or Zoom, try and find the time to keep in touch, it will help you and the people around you.
