Who are you?
Hi I’m Helen a 40 something mum of two from Warrington. I am a baby product inventor. My brand EasyTots brings fun, exciting baby weaning products to market.
I owe the invention of our range to my youngest daughter Keira! She was a nightmare, as she loved to lob her plate on the floor! I can’t complain though… as she inspired me to create a growing range of best-selling baby and toddler feeding products and secure distributor deals as far afield as Hong Kong and Australia .
Since launching in 2016, I’ve created the super EasyMat Original® suction plate for table feeding and the EasyMat Mini®, which is best for highchairs and portable for travel. The Perfect-Fit EasyMat® is a bespoke design for the IKEA ANTILOP® highchair, and in January 2019 I unveiled my ‘Marbellous’ Suction Bowl® , plus other weaning essentials.
How did the business come about?
I owe the invention of our range to my youngest daughter Keira, whois now 5! When the time came for her to start eating solids I came across a very common problem that most parents encounter at some stage of weaning. Thrown and tipped bowls. Keira was especially good at this and I decided to find a solution! I’m thankful she inspired me to create a growing range of best-selling baby and toddler feeding products and secure distributor deals as far afield as Hong Kong, Japan, Canada and Australia .The EasyMat suction plate range has since sold over 120,000.00 units. We help make weaning easier with less mess!

What job or achievement makes you most proud?
There are a few proud moments that stand out, being on national TV showcasing our EasyMat Mini on ‘Buy It Now’ was an amazing high, plus also winning 2019 Best Weaning Product as judged and voted for in the ‘Made For Mums’ awards. Easytots was also named ‘Retailer of the Year 2019’ in the Merseyside Busines awards.
Sales wise our biggest achievements has been securing distribution agreements with 22 countries so far, and growing!

Who are the people most important in life to you?
My two daughters Elora (9) and Keira (5), my partner Lloyd…plus wider family and my Warrington girlfriends. We are proud to have 30 year strong friendships together! And I can’t miss out my animals as I consider them a big part of my life too; 3 dogs, 2 cats and 3 chickens. Yep our home is a madhouse!
What is your ‘get through lockdown tip’?
Use the time effectively to re-evaluate and plan, it’s cathartic to step back from the daily grind as we will never get this time with our children back again.
